can a gateway be upgradable

can a gateway processor be upgradable to anything faster it is a pentium 2 450MHz with 128MB Ram or is it not worth upgrading and should i just sell it and get somthing better. thank you.

The CPU may be upgradeable, but increasing your RAM to 512MB will make much more of a difference. But is it worth it? I suppose if you can get the RAM cheap enough it is....

better sell it. buy a secondhand if you don't want to spend too much. you could get a decent PentiumIII 700mhz, 384MB memory around $70 for home server. including HDD, VGA Card, soundcard, casing and PSU.
yes it can but this depends on if you are willing to buy a new case($27-49.00) a good motherboard(asus or abit P4 goes for around $75 at Fry's) and a processor of 2.0 ghz or above(ebay is the place to find this at a great price usually sells for around $75-90) if you have any questions you can email me anytime.
