OK I dont know if I am in the right right forum I go to the XP one all the time and its awesome. OK Now i want to buy a laptop I will be travelling, I dont know howto decide what will be the better one toshiba or HP and what is the difference between one that has LAN andNIC I know what they both mean , but will they both hook up to cable? and is there any thing in particular i should be looking for when buying, thank you so much in advance

Well, I'll tell you this much, I feel that Toshiba looks good on you. Also, LAN is Local Area Network and NIC is Network Interface Controller (or something like that). The NIC is the controller which hooks up cables and/or RJ45 wire. LAN is just the network it runs on. So with that said, if there is a network available, you can hook up that cable.
