Hi,

I have a quick question. My ASUS A7V333 motherboard has a set of switches with which you can define bus speed according to the CPU that you are using. Question: What bus clock speed should I set for AMD Athlon XP 2000+? I went on AMD site but had hard time finding the info. I need to get this right because I don't want to overclock my CPU.

Thank you

Do like the manual says, set all your jumpers and dip's to default/auto. The motherboard will take care of everything. That is why they give you a manual, so you can find out these things.

default is usually 100, so you would be underclocking it. set the jumper to 133 and run it.

yea most boards default to 100 Like 666 said set it to 133 and let it run. Though I think on that board you set it to jumperless and set the FSB in the bios to 133.Its in the book that came with the MOBO

overclocking to 166 wont work unless you unlock the chip and down the multiplier...
