Subject: Bus clock speed for Athlon 2000+?OS: None YetCPU/Ram: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ |
Comment: Hi, I have a quick question. My ASUS A7V333 motherboard has a set of switches with which you can define bus speed according to the CPU that you are using. Question: What bus clock speed should I set for AMD Athlon XP 2000+? I went on AMD site but had hard time finding the info. I need to get this right because I don't want to overclock my CPU. Thank you

Reply: (edit)Do like the manual says, set all your jumpers and dip's to default/auto. The motherboard will take care of everything. That is why they give you a manual, so you can find out these things.

Reply: (edit)yea most boards default to 100 Like 666 said set it to 133 and let it run. Though I think on that board you set it to jumperless and set the FSB in the bios to 133.Its in the book that came with the MOBO
