Comment: hi first of all it started when it wouldn't log on just got to the windows splash screen then blue screen then restarted and into this bluescreen loop so I turned it off and back on after a few mins now i get a checksum error telling me to reset the bios settings but i don't know them. its running xp pro on a biostar motherboard cpu amd says 1350mhz when starting but I, pretty sure its higher than that not sure what more info I can put here to give you a better idea what I should do.

Reply: (edit)Make/model of the motherboard would help...so would the model of the CPU & the amount/type of RAM you're running. There are no AMD CPUs that run at 1350MHz by default, so I suspect that your BIOS has reset the CPU freq to 100MHz. I'll take a stab at it & guess that your CPU is an Athlon XP 2200+ which is supposed to run at 1800MHz (13.5 x 133MHz). Try CPU-Z & see if it helps you to figure out what you have: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Reply: (edit)ok managed to get the pc on so now just need to set bios because at the mo it starts with a checksum error and when I changed the settings it will not restart the mo/bo is Biostar m7ncg mem is 1.5gb cpu is 1500+ according to aida 32 so I would like someone to advise me of the correct settings there is nothing lower than 13 in the multiplyer
