Sorry, forgot to post that the Mobo is a Asus p4p800-SE 800Mhz FBS, currently running Celeron D 2.9ghz @ 3.65ghz very stable also. i am hoping i can push a p4 just as well... also the mobo has an AI overclocking in bios to fine tune it. so it will be totally stable. right now Celeron is only 20% OCed. 30% i cant do to mem bottle necking. pc2700 is the prob soo.
Asus P4p800-SE Celeron D 2.93ghz @ 3.65ghz "stock cooling" 44C idle, 58C load. Ge-force4 256mbs " Custom cooler " 350mhz, 500Mhz mem ""running 1yr now""

"On an 800mhz FSB board, the 3.4GHz Extreme Edition would be the best CPU you could slam into its 478-pin socket"
"Or just get a S478 Pentium 4 3.2ghz (Prescott) and overclock it to an S478 Pentium 4 extreme edition 3.43ghz and save yourself a ton of money."
it wont be like the Extreme Edition though because the P4 extreme is dual-core and 64-bit, as opposed to the prescott single-core...
Summary: my brothers computer is running a rather old p4 1.8ghz (williamite) socket 423 cpu on an asus mobo with 768mb RD ram. i have a few questions: he has a thermaltake orb on it now, what is the normal run...
