Here's my system info... kinda a project machine. Before I start, what is the best strategy to OC this beast? I think you can see this image... I'll check.

... I guess the image doesn't work.

Well I'v got an 1800 aswell, and only managed to push my FSB up to 140 before my PC keeps shutting down, and I think thats to do with my PCI periperals not being able to keep up with the new 36hz speed that comes with 143FSB for example.
I also can't set my multiplier any higher than 11.5x even tho my motherboard suppost 13x. And I'm not too keen on the idea of 'unlocking' my CPU as there are points that aren't too clear when its talked about.
Just cant afford the risk.
my 1800xp (1533mhz) now runs at 1610mhz (just over 1900xp) which is as far as I can push it atm.

I have an 1800 on the Thuroughbred core. I had it at 145 x 12.5 , 1.6 vcore, but was running into the odd crash, and have set the multiplier down to 12. That still gives me a 1.74G actual. As far as unlocking the CPU it is pretty easy. Just draw a line between the points of the L1 bridge with a pencil. The "Pencil Flick" trick wears off, so for a more permenant fix use something like Circuit Works Silver Conductive grease or something similar. Be sure that the lines connecting the pionts do not touch. If your core has laser cuts between the points of the L1 bridge, they can be filled with non conductive grease (thermal paste), or epoxy. Be sure that you do not get either of these compounds on the points as it will interfere with the unlocking. This website has a utility that allows you to enter your CPU, and it will show you exactly what to do with a picture. www.ocinside.de

I got my Athlon 1800+ some where in beteewn a 2200 and a 2400. WCPUID says it's running at 1879 MHz right now i got my FSB set to 150Mhz and my memory timeings up to 125% also the multiplier is set to 12.5 and the vcore is at 1.7. Ran Prime95 for 3 hrs. and had no problems.
All I have to say is the Epox 8RDA+ rocks my world...
