Crossfire is ATI's answer to nVidia's SLi technology. If you wanna take advantage of it, you'll need two high end ATI video cards.

well you have a 7800gt. Crossfires is ATI. go for the DFI SLI LANPARTY instead.

If you already have an Epox 9NPA+ Ultra, why are you shopping for another board?

actually that is a good question, surely if it is the retail version it offers SOME overclocking flexibility...

as you have a 7800GT already i suggest an Nvidia NForce 4 based motherboard, which the LANParty is, along with being an outstanding tweaker and overclocker because of very open and flexible BIOS settings. and if you want dual video cards get the SLI version. along with a second 7800GT, and IMHO you should get a faster CPU (like a 4600+ X2, which in turn could be overclocked to something like a 5200+ or more if AMD made such a thing) and another 1gb PC3200 RAM stick if you want something that will return outstanding performance. not that what you have is crap but if you want to spend the money on a new mobo and another 7800GT you may as well go the whole way...

tigerdirect has a good LANParty SLI + 4600+ A64 CPU deal here:

older technology is the s---; keep it running
