hello
from my previous message i am asking what is a good or the best heat sink for a cpu for skt 478 cpu's as i am overcloking my celeron D and need some good cooling as i have a cool measter aero 7 but i don think its keeping it cool enough
thanks
damian cole

I got a 478 CeleronD system. a Stock Celeron D cooler works perfect. stock 2.93ghz @ 3.65Ghz with stock cooling idle temp is 38C-41C full load is 55C. IMHO just stick with stock cooler unless your breaking 3.7ghz. the celeron D is a prescott core, those are able to take alot more heat then other cores. the stock cooler should have a copper core which pulls the heat better, and the aluminun outer part has more fins then ive seen on a stock cooler, if anything just get a 120mm back case fan to move more air in the case. Also think about getting some articsilver 5 compound.
Also next time it would help you out to tell us your temps as i did for some one to try and point you in the right direction.

hello
im using a aero 7 cooler and its at 45 celcius idle and 52 celcius full load and ram at 20 celcius idle and upto 26 celcius full load i have a 12cm rear fan 2 8cm in front and an 8cm in side i also have ram coolers and already have arctic 5 silver compound and its still only at its stock 2.93ghz so i dont know if it is still ok 2 overclock with that heat or to get better cooling
thanks
