Hi. I was wondering if there are any good free programs that allow a remote connection via my parents and I?

Sort of like a server file for their PC and A program so i can use it remotely.

Sorry If I sound a little unclear. Its just i need somthing a lil more permanent, as they get alot of computer problems, and i live miles away!

Thankyou in advance - Albert

Alll I want is somthing simple, easy to use so my dad cant f**k it up.

Yet not a trojan, sort of one execpt not in a malicious way, anyway i thoght trojans were a virus type thing, am I wrong???

He has XP home aswell so... I dont THINK it has the inbuilt one, anyway i habnt had any luck connecting to any other computers othere than one that is on my network (of 2 computers!) I cant connect to friends computers via that for some reason.

Im not a malicious trojan-person i just want a simple easy to use server-and-viewer type program to help out my dad, It doesnt have to be that discreet, just SIMPLE, FREE,
and secure and not easy to mess up.

Thankyou for your help so far............

Free would be VNC.

VNC is anything but secure.

If you upgrade to XP, then you have Remote Desktop. That's relatively more secure, and very easy to use.

Upgrade to XP Pro*

note: the hosting RDP computer is the only one that needs pro. Clients are freely available for any connecting computer pretty much.
