In a word, NO.

If you want an ATI Radeon, do not get one with a numerical model number less than 9500. The 9250 does NOT support DX9 & 256MB isn't necessary

256MB is unnecessary & just drives up the cost. You'll get just as good, if not better performance with a 128MB card

Hey, not sure if you're still even checking this, butI just got the ATI Radeon 9259 256 MB sapphire, and it works find. I got it b/c I have a really old mobo and no agp slots. I am rinning HL:2 and CS:S fine they are great. I suggest it if you only have a pci slot, bc it is a great pci card. But and AGP is better obviously, i am actually updating my moboso I can get a 9600.
