Hey guys just wana know which one should i buy ? Fx5900XT core speed & memory speed is lil bit more faster then 9800 Pro but 9800 is openGL 2.0 & 5900XT is 1.4 does this make any diffrance? Also FX is $25 Less then 9800XT ! im gona use it for dual monitor ! Far Cry ! Half Life2 normal Gaming not extreme Gaming !

Will i see huge diffrance between 9800 PRO & 5900 Ultra?

Please Advise !

TaNk, I have a PNY 5900XT 128 and I Sware by FX cards as they seem to be the most stable and in my experience have more support than than the ATI cards. I know most of the experts will shoot me down in flames on this one because most benchmark mark tests show the ATI performs at high FPS but I have two good friends with 9800 pro's and they are both having problems with there cards. I run Far Cry with all of the settings on high and I also play FS2004 with all settings on high.

Both cards are obviously good cards and are in healthy compitition with one another but the FX is cheaper by far.

Wait a bit,if you can.

the new nvidia 6800u kicks bottom apparently?

The fx collection has flaws(issues with mipmaps or something)

Saying that tho,I have a fx5600 256mb and am quite happy with it

oh my gosh....hello....

the Geforce FX5900XT is a castrated version of the GeForce FX5900!!!

nVidia did the exact opposite of ATI....the XT on nVIDIA cards means SLOWER!!!! seriously!!!

you should get this card:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-161-109&depa=0

it's got a HUGE fan....and it's ultra overclockable!!!

i got this card running on my P4 @ 2Ghz with 512MB of PC133 ram running 5700 3DMarks03 marks!!! i got a 14% performance increase by overclocking!!! (that's more than the Radeon 9800XT)

get it! not GeForce FX5900XT! the GeForce is slower than even the standard GeForce5900

Please! listen to me here! Sheesh!

I just got Radeon 9800 pr 128 mb. It kicks ass. The graphics is just imazing and the perfomance is very good. My friend got FX 5900, it ain't as good. With Geforce you'll still be able to see lines around the objects, with ati you won't (if you change settings)

peace
