Your board supports RAM in single channel mode only. You don't need dual channel mode with the Athlon XP anyway...there's little or no advantage to it.

I have the same board as you. I'm running an 1800+ at 1.7GHz (8.5 x 200MHz) & 1GB (2 x 512MB) Kingston PC3200...I tweaked the RAM timings to 2.5-3-3-7. There are a LOT of BIOS settings that have to be tweaked to get the best perfomance out of your board, especially under the Advanced Chipset Features menu.

Hey guys i have roughly the same spec. I could only get my 3200 xp+ to 2800xp+

so i read a post on this forum and changed the settings to

"ADVANCED CHIPSET FEATURES

CPU External Freq. = 200MHz
CPU Frequency Multiple = AUTO
System Performance = User Defined
CPU Interface = Optimal
Memory Frequency = BY SPD or 100%
Memory Timing = Optimal
FSB Spread Spectrum = Disabled
AGP Spread Spectrum = Disabled
CPU Vcore Setting = AUTO (or MENU & set CPU Vcore to 1.65v)
Graphics Aperture Size = 128MB
AGP Frequency = 66MHz"

Now my pc says system failed memory test. its on the dual channels aswell i think. it wont start up:(.

any help?
