Comment: Hi I have a KT3 Ultra 2 Raid Motherboard, I currently have a Athlon XP 2100+, will I notice, a difference in speed/performance if I upgrade to the Athlon XP 2800+, as the Athlon XP 2800+ runs with a 333mhz FSB and mine runs at 266mhz Also if I upgrade to this CPU what would be the best memory to go with for this mobo combined with that CPU I plan to upgrade my memory to the highest it will go ( 3GB ) I think, may as well Please help Thanks Richard

Reply: (edit)as far as i'm aware, the kt3 ultra2 mobo can only support cpus of upto 2GHz anyway. You'd have to upgrade your motherboard in order to have that processor. sorry if i've misunderstood you, but i have the same mobo and it says it only supports an athlon xp2200 (if i remember rightly) at the most.

Reply: (edit)Yes there was a bios upgrade for my MSI KT3 Ultra 2 Raid for it to support Athlon XP 2400+ and 2600+, but I assumed as the Athlon XP 2600+ ran at a 333mhz fsb I assumed the 2800+ would work to as there is barley any difference between them,
