I am building a computer with an Abit AT7 Max board, Athlon XP 1800, with a Dragon Orb 3 fan and heatsink. How fast can I expact to overclock this system? Is that Dragon fan good enough? Thanks Casey

Casey, Overclocking is all about luck!
I bought a AMD XP 2100+, and couldnt overclock it more then 60 mhz even though I have watercooling, and 6 fans in my computer.
If you are lucky, you can hit AMD XP 2000+ or 2100+ speeds, all depends on your fans RPM, size, CFM, and luck. Look through some forums, and check to see if there are computers simular to yours with the same chip, and how much they O/C. This is usually an average you can expect if you get a good chip.

Besides the whine of the fan on the DO-3, it seems to be a good cooling heatsink...for me anyways. I have a XP 1800 as well that ran at 56-61*c most the time. Now it runs at 37-42*c. So I am satisfied at the moment.

I have an AMD XP 1800 also and am able to get mine to XP 2000 speeds, my cpu is locked so i bumped up the fsb to 143mhz and am stable at 1.65ghz, ive gotten it to 1.7, and it seemed stable, but 3dmark would never finish its benchmark, and when i set the fsb lower it does finish. I might possibly be able to get around this by upin the voltage, but I don't know, if anyone has any suggestion plz do tell. oh and by the way i am running my cpu with a Volcano 9
