Thermal control for most computers is the heat sink and fan that sits over the CPU. Temperature control is a BIG issue with overclocking.

MOBO is my shorthand for MOtherBOard. Some MOBOs allow overclocking. Others do not.

I have a slot A 750Mhz Athlon overclocked just fine. But yeah, u have to have a mobo that can do it. I have an Abit KA7.

You can find out what kind of mobo u have by going to www.mrbios.com,You will probly want to download the bios wizard program its quite handy gives u the bios version mobo type and processor info.You should beable to take it from here.

This is a Tool that will help you Id you mobo all you need is the Bios string it can be found on boot in the bottom of the screen (after the Bios splash screen if you have an oem machine eg.Dell,Gateway,)
Example:51-0102-zz1526-00111111-101094-AMIS123-P.
