Hi..

I have a Athlon 64 3200. But something is not right with it. I got terrible benchmarks and my cpu usage in windows is 50-70% even if i dont start any programs. I Have tried ANYTHING..new BIOS, new Drivers install Windows XP again..and more. Something takes huge cpu power but windows dont show WHAT. In PC mark 2004..my PC should have around 4000 points..i got 1900. In Sisoft sandra 2004 i only got half of what the same motherboard and same cpu got in tests on the net. Anyone have a clue what it is?..or are my cpu or motherboard broken? When i turned off 6 usb ports in BIOS it helped a bit with the cpu usage..but still its 50-70%..before it was 700-100%. People with 64 bits processors please write and tell me what ur cpu usage is in windows when windows just is started. But i have a feeling that its something wrong with the moderboard, becuse my memory benchmarks also sucks compare what a can expect from my system. HELP HELP!!

When my PC is not doing anything my CPU usage is around 0-5%, I have had very nice benchmarks scores on this system

Not sure what the cause could be here, strange

The problem was USB. I Disebled USB in my BIOS and now its 0-4% cpu usage. The ports dint work correctly and was using u huge cpu power. I only buy USB Adapter now and my system works fine. THANX.

Sounds to me like the problem is in the way XP handled the motherboard usb ports.
