I am usually an intel guy, but I just picked up an athlon 1700 and a msi kt3 ultra2-c motherboard. I have a couple of questions, should the bois say I have a 1100 ghz? Ive messed around in the bois with overclocking although I dont know what is safe. so far the highest my cpu temp has gotten is 41c. HOw do I safley adjust the cpu speed in the bois? I have 3 case fans, whats your opinions, what is the fastest I can go without frying my cpu? I would really like it if someone hepled out that has the same setup. thanks guys, Bobby

The speed of an Athlon XP 1700 is 1470mhz (1.47ghz). That's 11 x 133fsb. But your FSB is set at 100mhz...11 x 100fsb = 1100mhz. All you gotta do is set your FSB to 133 & you're in business.

Even if two machines have the exact same hardware, they may react differently to overclocking. The only way is to take small steps until the system becomes unstsable, then back off a little.
