There are several versions of the TX97...here's the 2.2v settings:

Here's a site dealing with the TX97 & K6-2/500:

Hey, I just looked at the specs & manual for that board...don't waste a K6-2 on it. It's based on the Intel 430TX chipset & only caches 64mb of RAM...it may accept up to 256mb, but if you install more than 64mb, it'll kill your performance. Also, I don't see a setting for 2.2v for the CPU voltage. Plus, 75mhz FSB is as high as it'll go & it states in the manual that 75mhz is not guaranteed to be stable. Even so, if you used the "2.0x as 6.0x trick" with the 75mhz FSB, the absolute fastest CPU setting would be 450mhz (6 x 75).

If you don't have the manual, download it from here & look it over:

yeah, buti found 2 guys so far have done this and claim that their systems are stable but that their processors ran hot.they ran Rain?to help cool things down.they had the TX97-E&TX97-XE boards with the 430TX chipset and set the bus frequency to 83MHz which would give 498MHz.Not sure if i can go that high with this board but thanks for the info.I just want to try this upgrade to get some performance increase.and 450MHz is better than now if thats what i can get!you still think im wasting my time with this?
