I've really had a bad experience with that motherboard. You can try to overclock it if you want. Make sure you got a bigger-than-needed cooling fan on the cpu. Try it at 450 MHz( 4.5 * 100MHz) and raise the voltage to 2.3Volts If you add more RAM, the system will speed up considerably( up to a point) and that may be more than overclocking

i've got asus p5a-b motherboard and a very strange cpu, its k6-2/200 and it isn't listed on any AMD site, but its for sure k6-2 Anyway the CPU runs easily at 350MHz (3.5x100) with TITAN Golden Orb, and at 400MHz (4x100MHz) runs also but till now a i haven't tested is as long as when it was overclocked at 350MHz, a can olny mention that at 350MHz after about 5 hours testing with "stability test" the temp. one the CPU was 50 Celcius degrees. sory for my english but i'm from poland :)

I got the P5A-B too, running a K6-2 500. But I'm having a annyiong problem using it under Windows ME. Using the ALi M5229 Bus Master under Windows 95/98/98SE all works fine. But under ME, Windows does not use the drivers corretly. I'm able to use my 2 Primary HD's, but on the Secondary Master I have my CD-RW, which WinME won't find, but it does find my ZIP on the Slave. I think I need a new driver but I can't find one anywere. Anyone else have this problem, or have a solution? Thanks - Creed_jC!
