Comment: I tried to build 5 systems based on Asus A7V333, 2 work fine. The other 3 have this bizarre problem in which upon power up, past POST and before the OS loads, I get three beeps and the system freezes. Hit the power button and it emits one beep and un-freezes. Repeat. When the OS begins to load it completely goes away. Big problem however is that while installing an OS such as formatting the HD from the DOS command prompt: a:>format c: you have to press the power button 30+ times during format in order for it to work. Loading RedHat 7.3 doesn't work at all as it finally freezes completely. This has occurred on 3 of the 5 boards. I'm using an Athlon XP 1800+ with PC2100 RAM and either Geforce2 MX 400 or Radeon 7500. I've swapped out RAM, power supply and video cards. I've tried changing this and that BIOS setting. NOTHING! I've e-mailed Asus 1+ week ago with no reply. Help! -- IV

Reply: (edit)i own an A7V333 and according to the manual (page 45) this can be caused by bad video card memory or CPU overheated. make sure that the cpu isnt too hot, i dont know what else can be the problem
