My mother board does not see my new CPU During post. It sees a AMD Athalon XP @ 1050Mhz. I updated the bios to version 1010 (Which is spose to fix this problem) But it sees a processor Never had in there. The board is new and so is the CPU. HELP

1st of all, it's a 2500+ Sempron, not 2500MHz. It runs at 10.5 x 166MHz (1750MHz). You have the FSB set to 100MHz...get into the BIOS & change it to 166MHz. Hopefully you have at least PC2700 RAM?

BTW, if you were running a 100MHz (200FSB) CPU before upgrading, you'll have to change the CPU_FSB jumper on the board, if not, it's just a simple BIOS change.
