First time building a computer from scratch, I ordered the Asus A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard and an Amd XP 2400+ along with a set of twinbank PC3200 memory from Corsair which is also Dual Channel capable. Basically the computer is up and running just fine though I was hoping for a bit more of a performance increase than I received. Any tips on how I should take the Bios settings up a notch to improve performance? Especially with the Dual Channel DDR installed. Someone on another board suggested I move my CPU settings to agressive but all that does is cause my system not to POST, I had to reset the bios. I appreciate any hints or tips given, the board and cpu seems to be running fairly cool so I'm not sure why it refused to post in the first place after that change.
