Guyz a need help, actually my bro' does!

Mobo Asus A7A266
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
BIOS version 1009 (last one)!
Default settings 11.0x 133/33 (2.5-3-3-7)

we want to OC his mobo for more power, we can reach a FSB speed of 139/35 MHz without problem but when we try to go higher windows don't boot! The multiplier seems to be blocked at 11.0x we can't change the multiplier!

Can you help us out here, plz?

Yes, your multiplier is probably locked as it is on the p4's.. Are you running on just basic air cooling? I wouldnt push it to far if I were you.. you should be paying attention to the temperatures ESPECIALLY under full load after a period of time. Could be some kind of voltage problem possibly..

Crazy thx!

It've 2 casefans, the temps're little bit high but nothing really crazy between 45° and 48° at Vcore 1.775v so I don't think it can barbecued byitself!

Problem with windows is that it refuse to boot when we try to go higher than 11.0x 139/35 MHz >>> 1540 MHz internal clock speed! And yes Bios can handle the settings but when windows try to boot we get a message, something like: "Some hardware do not working properlly, contact your hardware suplier ... Update Bios" But just did. The last Bios version for his Mobo it the a7a261009.awd!
