please I ask about my motherboard MV43V or here http://eu.shuttle.com/archive/en/mv...
why it support CPU Intel Pentium 4 socket 478 2.66 GHz FSB 133 MHZ and it cannot support Intel Pentium 4 socket 478 2.66 GHz FSB100MHZ means when I check My CPU 2.66 GHz FSB100MHZ by CPU-Z or Everest programs ,I get wrong core speed ... 2000 MHZ not 2600 MHz http://hdishna.googlepages.com/7f83... Notice I get last Bios update MV43V007 and donnot fix this problem and I cannot know why my mother board cannot support this CPU 2.66 GHz FSB100MHZ in CPU Support List here http://eu.shuttle.com/archive/en/mv...
or here

My guess is you're getting it backwards. There is no "CPU 2.66 GHz FSB100MHZ".

You probably have a P4 2.66GHz/533MHz FSB CPU will *should* be clocked at 20 x 133MHz. However, you have to clocked at 20 x 100MHz, therefore it's running at 2.0GHz.

All you have to do is change the CPU freq from 100MHz to 133MHz. This is either done in the BIOS or it *may* have to be done on the motherboard itself.

Read your manual.

thanks Dear ,but there is

CPU 2.66 GHz FSB100MHZ
look here

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Penti...

- no chance for change in setup screen

The CPU you linked to is 2600mhz, you have stated you have a 2666mhz which has a 133fsb

Therefore what do you actually have ??

so sorry for Dear jam ....
I reread the my motherboard website and manaul again .... look here about this question ?????http://eu.shuttle.com/archive/en/mv43_faq.htm -I have P4 2.4.GHz (533MHz) CPU installed, but why shows P4 1.8GHz on the screen?

It appears that you have a 533MHz FSB (133MHz) CPU running at 400MHz FSB (100MHz).

Here's what you should have:

20 x 133MHz = 2666MHz

Here's what you apparently have:

20 x 100MHz = 2000MHz

All you have to do is change the CPU frequency setting in the BIOS from 100 (or 400) to 133 (or 533).

"I have P4 2.4.GHz (533MHz) CPU installed, but why shows P4 1.8GHz on the screen?"

Yes, it is the same thing:

18 x 133MHz = 2400MHz

18 x 100MHz = 1800MHz

Dear Jam the bios screen is locked for any change but by set JP1A1 on the motherboard to pins 2-3 and JP1B1 to pins 1-2 to use a 133 FSB or 100 FSB as here

Tganks Jam ... thanks all my friends
