Comment: Im trying to build my first computer and during christmas break im going to build it. But im stuck. I cant find a good cpu heatsink cooler for AMD's new Athlon XP 2700. I was leaning towards coolermaster and thermaltake. Can anyone recommend a good heatsink for the new athlon xp 2700 as of december 2002.

Reply: (edit)i personally recommend swiftech heatsinks they are the best quality heatsinks in the market today, but you better be willing to cash out some money for this heatsink. you can go to http://www.swiftnets.com/ and check out their line of heatsinks.

Reply: (edit)Did the CPU come with an AMD approved HSF or did you buy an OEM CPU? If it came with one, why not use it?

Reply: (edit)agrees with JAM. If you did buy a retail cpu the heatsink that came with it believe it or not will do just fine.
