Can I overclock my P4 2aGHZ to a 533mhz system bus? and if so how, and what do i need to keep it cool. I will either have the intel 850e board (D850EMV2) or vias P4X333 board.

It’s not a link, it’s a URL!

You copy the URL and paste it into the address box of your browser and the little man in your computer magically takes you to a server far away ….

They list data for AMD and Intel.

Philly,

Are you sure you can handle the upgrade? You seem to be asking questions and having difficulties that lead me to think that you shouldn't be trying this...

Yeah! of course i got the 2ghz woodie for £70 uk, so I wanna push it as far as I can, if it blows what the hell. This is why im asking for recommendations so i can gather info from peoples experiences and build a kik ass rig. I am aiming for 3gig. so im looking for what kinda cooling ill need to sustain a 50 degree temp, and also what board is gonna be best for the voltage adjustments. i want a 533mhz system bus board so I can use 1066 rambus, so as not to bottle neck memory. raid would be nice to. also i wanna stay away from sis chipsets. this is why i was thinking i850e, but maybe vias ddr333 chipset might be worth waiting for ??

BTW im in no rush to buy any of the components as yet, as some of them are not available i.e 1066 rambus, and via's ddr333. (soyos dragon ultra) basicly i got the cash, but dont wanna rush out and buy anything until im sure im gonna get the best performance for my cash.

You won’t see 3GHz without water-cooling or better if you can see it at all.

You are better off waiting for the technology to catch up with you.

It shouldn’t be that long of a wait.

You’d be a lot closer if you were running an Athlon XP 2100 though!
