Just last week that's how much an Athlon 64 3800+ X2 cost. speaking of the Athlon 64 3800+ X2, it has dropped down to all they way to 158 dollars! Anyone building a system or want to upgrade their processor now is the right time. I feel bad for anyone that just upgraded their processor and had to pay 300+ dollars more for the same processor. where can i find these price cuts? i looked at your link, and it says a 3800 is $116. at newegg.com, it is currnetly 138$. at tigerdirect, it does not have price cut yet. also at zipzoomfly.com, no price cut. i am building a computer and i dont know where to get it. thanks for any help

From what I read they are about to buy ATI out and it's pretty much a done deal. I haven't heard anything about AMD buying ATI out today though. You won't see the price cuts start to take effect until a couple of days after AMD announced their price cuts. It is going to take a couple of days for these online companies to update their AMD prices. I'd say within the next day or so you will see the new prices start to take effect.
