As i'm sure most of you prob know by now, AMD is slashing the price of all their , budget, mainstream and higend processor lines by a lot, but wow!

Athlon 64 4800+ X2 for 295 dollars!!! Just last week that's how much an Athlon 64 3800+ X2 cost. speaking of the Athlon 64 3800+ X2, it has dropped down to all they way to 158 dollars!

Anyone building a system or want to upgrade their processor now is the right time. I feel bad for anyone that just upgraded their processor and had to pay 300+ dollars more for the same processor.

From what I read they are about to buy ATI out and it's pretty much a done deal. I haven't heard anything about AMD buying ATI out today though.

You won't see the price cuts start to take effect until a couple of days after AMD announced their price cuts. It is going to take a couple of days for these online companies to update their AMD prices. I'd say within the next day or so you will see the new prices start to take effect.

Yeah, that's basicly around the same price they will be in U.S. dollars, prob a little more then wat they are showing considering that the euro dollar is a little stronger then the U.S. dollar right now.

I noticed that the Athlon 64 3700+ and Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego cores haven't gone down in price all that much.
