AMD's New M2 DDR2 Processors

So any word on if these new M2 DDR2 940 pin socket motherboards and processors will have that much greater advantage over the current 939 motherboads and processors?

You were originally correct. M2 has 940 pins. It's the new server socket which will have 1207 pins.
