Comment: I have a AMDXP2100. Its running at 1768 on a 136 fsb. I have a side fan that is blowing in and two fans blowing out in the back. Idle System TEmp = 38-40 CPU Temp = 48-52 Under gaming or heavy load System Temp - Same 38-40 CPU 55-58 Anyway to make it cooler? Would adding another case fan or pci fan help? Are those temp fine? Just a little weird.

Reply: (edit)The fact that your system temp is 10C+ lower than your cpu speed says that your case airflow is good, and no additional fans are needed. Your temps are normal.

Reply: (edit)For me those temp are little high. In my opinion I compare my feeling to the computer. I wouldn't want to live in an environment that's over 40 degrees C period and so my computer doesn't want to either. I'd say a good temperture would be. Case: 25c CPU: 34 (idle) 37(full) That was my temperature after I took out 2 fans Case: 30 CPU: 38-40 which sucks

Reply: (edit)I think the temps are a little high. AMD's web site will tell you that those temps will work just fine. However, it is not summer yet. When July rolls around you will be getting close to 70 degrees C in that computer cabinet. When I had my old Thunderbird processor I would clock it normal durring the summer. Then around early fall I would overclock it again. A larger fan could not keep it cool enough in our California heat.
