Hi all,

Getting a lot of good reviews reference the Abit KT7A, but if I go onto the AMD website they do not support this company AFTER the 1100 chip of theirs. I've read your reviews on here too, and people seem quite happy to go with Abit and AMD bigger chips, but it does puzzle me as to why they don't, any thoughts on this??

What AMD you talking about ? The XP MP or Athlon ? Abit is supported up to 1200 if you are using 200FSB and the Athlon. http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_182_869_1039^4046|48_1,00.html I know people who are using Abit mobos and XP1800's and they like them a lot.

I've been on the ABIT website several times and they have no problem at all with the use of AMD processors, I'm not certain yet exactly which size I'll be going for and therefore want to make sure I get it as right as I can (minefield !)Thanks for your comments Dave, have looked at the link.

I'm currently waiting for a reply from AMD re the Q? - what's the chances eh !!,,,lol
