So it seems like AMD is pulling an Intel when it comes to budget Dual-core processors. from what I was reading the Athlon 64 3600+ X2 will cost under 150 bucks when it debuts for both socket AM2 and 939 platforms. It has the same speed as an Athlon 64 3800+ X2 @ 2ghz but the L2 cache sizes for both cores will be smaller @ 256KB per core.
I smell an extreme overclocking project in the near future. TMP-Man, up for the challange? :)
