Im upgrading my processor, recieved a AMD Phenom 9500 Processor 4x, and after installing my computer will not come out of hybernation. am i missing something. Original processor is a AMD Athlon 64 X2

Did you check whether your motherboard supports the Phenom before you bought it? The board is probably an AM2 & the Phenom is an AM2+. It's socket compatible & *may* work, but it won't be able to reach it's full potential due to the slower HT bus. Plus the Phenom *should* be run with DDR2-1066.
The 9500 is one of the "bad" Phenoms with the TLB bug so depending on which X2 you upgraded from, it's very possible that your CPU upgrade was actually a performance downgrade.
