AMD K6-2 upgrade??

I have an IBM desktop computer with model of 2190-27J. Its CPU is AMD K6-2, 500 Mhz. Is it possible to upgrade only the CPU from K6-2 to Duron or Athlon? Please help me

No. The K6 II is a Socket 7. Duron and Athlons are Socket A.

but you may be able to run a k6-3 cpu in it. a k63 400 will absolutely SMOKE that k62 500...

Hey mike: How much “faster” would a K6 III be over a K6 II? I’ve got 3 computers with K6 II 400MHz CPUs and would pick up some use K6 IIIs if it looked like a reasonable upgrade.
