how can I find the ID of my motherboard? Are there any softwares for the purpose?. I have an AMD Duron 750, Win XP, but even after spending a week reading articles on the internet and trying to overclock, Iam getting no clue on how to get it done. My motherboard specifications say 'jumperless design', but I don't see any in the BIOS. And I did update the bios to Award 1.04. I did manually connect the L1 bridges with #2 pencil. Any help?

You have to change the FSB and/or the multiplier. If there is no way in the bios you may have a problem! Many boards aren't good for overclocking but on most you can set the FSB (or cpu clock) to 133MHz in the bios but check before if you can locate the clear cmos jumper because if it doesn't work you may have to clear the bios.
If that's also not possible you may not be able to OC!
Understand that the above is a quite drastic OC to do in one step. It's possible that you damage something but I have a Athlon 750MHz here that works fine with that!!!
