Hi people im new at this CPU stuff so please bear with me. I recently bought a laptop with the above athlon processor in but instead of it running at 1.9ghz which the manual says, it seems to be running at 512Mhz why is this?

the mobile cpus throttle to save power... min speed is something like 500mhz ... and max is 1.9ghz... if you aren't running anything it will drop down to 512mhz ... most programes will see it as that unless you are running full load then check the cpu speed...
