Hi guys I've been looking around and I'm still way confused about where I should be starting when over clocking my 2000+
Here are myu vitals
Soltek SL-75frn-L mobo
XP 2000+ set at default
768 PC3200 Ram running at 200Mhz on dual channelother info on my CPU
1.632v
OPN number ???? AXDA2000DUT3C
I've tried a few settings but with no joy abart from slowwing it down to 1.6ghz as a 1900+any Ideas on what I should try

1st of all, there's not much point of running your RAM at 200MHz if your CPU is only running at 133MHz. You should run them in sync (at the same bus speed).
Your 2000+ is "supposed" to run at 1667MHz (12.5 x 133MHz). If your multiplier is unlocked, try running it at 8.5 x 200Mhz (1700MHz), with the RAM also at 200MHz. This isn't a major overclock, but the higher FSB speed should give you a noticeable boost. You "may" need to up the CPU voltage a bit.
If your multiplier is locked, you can either use one of the methods to unlock it (such as the "pencil trick"), or you can simply try raising the FSB a little at a time. I'm not familiar with that board...are you able to lock the PCI/AGP speeds at their defaults of 33/66MHz? If so, make sure you do it.

Nice one m8 I've got it set at 10 x 166 at the mo but might swap for what you suggested and yes I can set the pci agp speed so I'll do that to. If I set the fsb any higher even by one it won't have it.
thanks again

Since your multiplier is unlocked, temporarily set it low...maybe at 7.5x...then experiment with the FSB.
Have a look at this:
