Ever since I replaced my motherboard with the MachSpeed V400DBL, I used the same memory, video card and 1800+ CPU from the old motherboard, which had burned out. Now that I got my computer running again, the BIOS is saying that the CPU is AMD Athlon 1150 MHz. I changed the JP4 from 100 MHz to 133 MHz, cleared the CMOS and then checked the BIOS and it had said 133 MHz so I saved and rebooted. After the reboot, the computer boots to the Win XP startup screen then it will restart. What is the cause of this? I tried removing the CPU, clear the CMOS, put the JP4 to 133 MHz then put the CPU back in and get the same result. Any suggestions on what to do?

After clearing CMOS, did you run thru ALL the settings? Everything reverted to their default values...so there may be some settings you'll have to tweak. What's your display set to...AGP or PCI? Did you double check CPU & RAM voltage settings? CPU setup at 1533mhz (11.5 x 133mhz)?

could be windows did you reinstall windows or just use the installation from the old system?
If that's the case boot in safe mode, by pushing F8 as the system starts. Then delete any device that looks like it's from the motherboard in the device manager. Likely it's trying to load some driver to a device that no longer exists but is close enough to something on your new board. Then messes up.

It sounds to me like it is an incorrect bios setting. Try going into the bios setup and under CPU PnP setup check if the cpu speed is 133/133. That should do the trick.
