Hello,I have been having problems with my AMD Athlon 1000. sometimes when i turn the computer off and go to turn it back on it boots up but the screen is blank and i have to turn it on and off a few times to actually get it boot properly. Also it has been making a lot of noise which is coming from the processor, I used canned air and clean it out best i could as it was caked with dirt.. but is still making loud noises..does anyone have any suggestions? it's and AMD athlon 1000 Nvidia Geforce DDR video card 512MB RAM Windows 20000

Well, it sounds like the fan needs replacing - check with your onboard system monitor (usally in bios) and check the cpu fan is running (or take the case off and power up).
The blank screen could be core temp shutdown due to the knackered fan.
Hope this helps

Not really an XP problem... Your CPU fan is VERY dangerously worn out. Replace it quickly, else you lose your CPU & motherboard.
You need to stop the dirty air getting to the CPU. More fans, to push/ pull FILTERED air in. Plus ... get the computer OFF THE FLOOR, somewhere clean. There is also software to turn your pc off, and give you warning sounds when the air temperature, etc, gets dangerously high.

Get a watercooler instead. They are silent, reliable and superior to ANY (even the Swiftech) Air-Cooler around.
I speak from own experiances and I'm using watercoolers for 3 years now. There have never been any issues or leaks.
If your money bag allows it, go and buy one!
