Hi,
I wanted to know if now would be a good time to buy a laptop. I've done all my reaserch, but i just wanna know if it would be better to wait until the amd64-m comes out, or the next processor from intel(will there be one soon???). I want to keep this laptop for a few years, say 4, so would it be wise to buy know? it's an athlon xp-m 2400, in an hp pavillion ze4400 series laptop, custom made by me!!! 900 american is peanuts for a laptop, but if anyone here can give me info i would be grateful.
I basically want to know if this new processor is worth the wait. if all the processors after that will be 64-bit, what does it mean to everyone who still has 32-bit processors? What is the advantage of 64-bit, and how does it affect a person's computing experience???

Thanx!!!
Urby3

64 bit technology will slowly be more used but it will take more then 4 years for it to be fully used. Athlon 64 is a processor with better designs then Athlon XP. If anything i would wait for the Athlon 64 or Intel Prescott just because if u havnted noticed prices have been the same about 3 months now and it was a good idea to buy a new computer then. But i would wait for Athlon 64 just because its a month and a half away and although its previews havnt been good, remember that the Athlon previews were horrible too but it did much better then its intel competition when it came out. Many people think they know everything about this but i believe that we may still be surprised by the Athlon 64 just like by the Athlon and therefore it be a waste for you to buy a computer now.

I'm going to buy a new comp. But I can wait Athlon-64, if it will be cheap enough.
How much will be Athlon-64? How much will be Athlon-64 3-4 months after it's fullfilling the market? How much will be it's motherboard? Where can I get these prices
