AMD Athlon 1.4GHz

Hi,
I've got an old AMD Athlon 1.4GHz processor and i've already OC it to 1.53GHz.
But when i do more than that is starts to crash, or wont even let me start windows..
Still my temps are: CPU: 55 c - System: 46 c
so that can't be it, i heard AMD Athlon's can still operate at a temp of 90 c!
So what can it be else?

If you're overclocking through increasing bus speed, it's your motherboard judging from your other post! KT266 chipset boards sucked for overclocking.
