I'm just a bit confused after reading that article. Sure, as I understand, the Phenom is a native quad core, right? Apparently, the Intel quad cores are two cores sandwiched together? Now, why would disabling one core on the Phenom be better for gaming and other applications? Did I read that right? Is the Phenom just 2 cores sandwiched together like the Core 2 quad's? I have more questions than comments about this article, thanks for posting it.

No. As for the Phenom X3 and X4 will be 3 and 4 real cores under one section, it's not like Core 2 Quads where it's seperated into two sections. Also the Phenom X3 will not be a Phenom X4 with one core disabled, it will be a seperate setup altogether then the Phenom X4.
