amd 2800 temp 58 celcius

i just installed this cpu with a volcano 11, when i look at the bios temp its says 52 celcius and system temp 38 celcius. when i runn aplications the temp goes as high a 58 celcius, i have 4 fans in the case, i am using as3 on the cpu. the mb is a msi kt4v. should i worry about the temp

Yes, the barton 2800 should not have an idle temp of 52C. Most likely you put on too much thermal paste or didn't seat the hsf correctly. Follow the application instructions here
and make sure when you place the hsf back on it's on securely and level.

Temps are higher if it reads from the internal temperature sensor, but I don't know which mobos do that and which don't. If it's from the internal sensor, that's about right as it reads about 10 degrees higher than the outside sensors many manufacturers use.
Summary: heres the scenerio, amd 2800+ barton, MSI kt4v MB, 1.0 gig DDR ram 2700, Volcano 11 fan, 4 case fans, when i am at idle the temp is 49c, when i run links 2003 or any other game it gets as high as 61c,...

Summary: I Overclocked my CPU system in Bios from: 166/33 (clock speed:2.08 ghz) >> 185/37 (clock speed:2.31 ghz) and Cpu Multiplier:12.5x and it's just fine but what's about if I go higher with the Multiplier...
