AMD 2500 too hot, not overclocked

Wow, I had spyware and quit using my AMD 2500 computer for almost a year now. Simply because I had a new laptop and didnt care, now i am trying to reinstall but my cpu is running at 83 celcius. My CPU fan is running fine and the heat sink doesnt even feel that warm. It never ran too hot before. Any Ideas????
