Hi,

I have a home built computer with:

AMD Athlon 2400+ Processor
768MB PC2700 DDR
180GB HDD
128MB GeForce FX 5200

I was wondering how to overclock it. I have a 133mhz FSB. Im willing to do anything to overclock it.

thanks

That's not a link to your motherboard...that's a link to the VIA chipset that your board is based on. You need to locate the make/model number...it should be printed somewhere on the board. Start by looking between the PCI slots...or try here:

OK, I had a look at your manual...it doesn't look like you have a lot of options. Make sure the FB jumper is set to 133...the rest of the settings are in the BIOS. I didn't see anything for CPU voltage or multiplier settings, so you're out of luck there. It seems that the only thing you have to play with is the FSB...have a look at the options under CPU Host/AGP/PCI Clock. You have PC2700 RAM, so that's a plus...all you can do is try the various settings & see what happens. Make small changes, reboot, & run your system for a few minutes to check for stability...& keep an eye on your temp readings...if your CPU temp starts approaching 60C, it's time to re-evaluate what you're doing, and/or your case cooling setup (leaving the side panel off should not be an option). Don't allow your PCI clock to go above 38mhz

should the AGP Arpeture size matter (I have it at 128mb) and do you know of a good new mobo that would be good for overclocking?
thanks
