Ok I am havig a very weird problem. I just reformated and everythig to start over new. System specs:

AMD XP 2400+
Soyo KT600 Plus
512MB PC3200
(if you need more ask)

So here is my problem. I built this PC about a year ago, and being the noob that I was, clocked my CPU at 100mhz. This made my computer think it was a AMD XP 1800+, well I left it alone until this weekend. I reforatted to start all over, and It wouldn't work unless I set the jumer to 100mhz. It would get to "loading windows setup" and stay there. So I installed it and istalled my drivers, then tured it off, and set the jumpers to 133Mhz(what its supposed to be at) and it will not load winodws. (multiplier is on 10). So I set it back to 100hz, and manually set it to 132...and it works fine..? Whats going on here?

So I'm stuk here right now, I'll probobly increase my mlitplier to get some more out of it, but I want it to run atleast 133...help!

"multiplier is on 10"

Uh, the mutiplier for an Athlon XP 2400+ is 15x, not 10x. The CPU should run at 2000MHz (15 x 133MHz). If you have a Sempron 2400+, the mutiplier is 10x, but the FSB is supposed to be 166MHz.

Double check the CPU Frequency Selector (JP3)...both jumper caps should be removed for 133MHz. For 166MHz, pins 1-2 should be OFF, pins 3-4 should be ON. And run thru ALL your BIOS settings. Even though you have PC3200 RAM, it should be running at 133MHz (PC2100 speed) with the Athlon, 166MHz (PC2700 speed) with the Sempron. Make sure your settings match your hardware, don't assume defaults settings are best, they're not.

Formatting your HDD was unnecessary...this is a hardware configuration problem, not a software issue...unless you had another reason for formatting?
