You want to increase your fsb on both cpu and ram to 166mhz, thatll get you started.Ive only got pc2100 ddr266 and an athlon 2000 and mine is quite happily at 161mhz/12.5(should be 133mhz).

QTEC AND STATICX SILENT COOLERS

You have PC2700 RAM & your CPU has an unlocked multiplier...lower that multiplier & crank up the FSB!
Try the multiplier at a very low setting, maybe 9.0x & set your memory to "sync"...then set your CPU FSB at 166mhz/333. Your CPU will be running at 1500mhz & your RAM will be running at 333. Now start to raise the FSB 3-5mhz at a time. Reboot & test your system after each change. You should be able to hit 175mhz/350FSB or better. Eventually, you're system will become unstable...at that point, back it off to the last stable FSB setting. Now you can try raising the multiplier...if your FSB is 175mhz/350, try 10.0x, 10.5x, etc. Once you become unstable again, back off to the last stable multiplier setting. If you wanna try to squeeze a little more out of it, increase your RAM voltage to 2.7v, & try increasing your CPU voltage a little...0.05v at a time. If your default voltage is 1.60v, try 1.65, 1.70, 1.75, 1.80...personally, I'd stop there...but that's your choice. Keep an eye on your temps. Once you're satisfied with your overclocked speed, stress test your system...run TOAST for 20min (or Prime95 for at least an hours)

don`t mention it-(that is in fact Jam`s post to me when I was a newbie)
Toast is a utility used to test your CPU.
You can download it from:

PEACE!!!(BodyBag You Know it Makes Sense)

looking for anyone with a a7v8x and a xp2000+.
I can only get a stable 12.5x141...it's driving me insane. I think the ddr400 memory might have screwed me with this board...any opinions or advice?
