Specs: Windows XP Pro SP2, Intel Celeron 2.80 GHz, 256KB RAM
I just flashed the bios of my SR1020NX and now all of
the temps and voltage readings are too high, or too low.
the VCore is reading about 2.6V, the +12V is reading
about 1.5V and the -12V is reading about -15V. The CPU
is reading 0C, and the SYSTEM temp is reading 70C,
which it is definitely not.

Why did you flash the BIOS in the 1st place? Was there a particular fix that you needed? Where are you getting the temp readings from? Many software programs are unreliable....uninstall/reinstall the monitoring program & see if that helps. If you're unhappy with the results of the new BIOS, flash back to the old one.

You're lucky that thing works at all. You need to get the latest BIOS from hp/Compaq and flash it again.

Be sure to follow instructions to the letter.

It was probably doing what it's supposed to do.

"the new bios is msi's version of the bios"

As Skip said, "You're lucky that thing works at all."

You shouldn't even have to ask a question in these forums. You flashed the BIOS, now you're having problems. Obviously it's because you used a BIOS that wasn't designed for your board. Get the Compaq BIOS & stop listening to your friend.
