Here's another one of those "boot problems" for you! Any help would be much appreciated! Or.. the words "head", "gas oven" and "stick in" come to mind.. I've just changed my system to a P4 'northwood' 1.6, Abit BD7 Mboard, Enermax 350w power supply, and another 512meg of DDR for the new Mboard. All was going well until I tried to boot up.. and my problem is this- - On post it completes, until halting at error code 52 (on that little counter thing), but the bios on-screen says 'Memory test ok'. Then nothing happens. It doesn't boot further, and when I press Del to get into setup it doesn't work either! I don't get any funny beep-codes, just the normal one beep, but the HD light is on all the time. (And before you ask.. my wires are in the right places) Eeek, if someone doesn't help, could you at least point me in the way of the most painless suicide technique? Damn these computer things.. Does it say Error Code 52, or is the memory check counting and stopping at 52 and then giving you an error ?

"Memory test ok" at post does not always mean that your ram is okay. Try changing your ram.

Are you sure the Power supply you are using is adicuate for the mobo.. try a different type.. also if the system hungs at different stages during boot then it maybe the graphics card is overheating (faulty)... Also check cpu heatsink is correctly mounted. then try a new ram stick...
