OS: XP Pro
CPU/Ram: Duron 800/320 SD
Comment:

I have an Iwill mobo (KK266) with a AMD Duron 800 mhz on it, as well as a Radeon 900 Pro w/ 128 DDR and 320 MB of SDRAM. I can get the CPU speed up to 870 or so by using the smart setting in the BIOS. But after adjusting the FSB Windows XP takes forever to boot up. Then, even after changing the BIOS to the default, it still takes forever. The only way to fix this is to reformat... why?

Overclocking via the FSB stresses the components in your computer, can cause problems with your PCI devices, and thus slow your system.

Also, HIGH FSB speeds can cause data corruption on your hard drive and require that you reinstall windows.
