i was wondering wether I can add another cpu for my computer. how will I do this?what kind of cpus can I add? is there still
available cpus as fast as my current that I can buy to add? what are other hardwares that i might need? (a board for the other cpu perhaps, fans etc..)

when you say add another CPU are you meaning to replace the one you have now.. and keep the same board? or are you wanting to just get an entire new board and cpu with possible RAM?
If you change the board you are going to have to either re-install your OS, or do a upgrade to another OS, or possiby just run the "Recovery" of the CD-ROM, but if you change the board you will have to re-install the OS one way or another because it will change alot of the settings and it will not work. Just some things to think about.

I take it that this motherboard is NOT for dual CPUs, and therefore there are no available CPU slots. The idea of an extra CPU on a PCI card is interesting, but there would likely be a bottleneck in this scenario. If you'd like to change your current CPU (PIII 500), you'll need to know what kind of CPU socket you have (Slot 1/Socket 370), and then you might look here to see what might be available for those CPU slots/sockets. Then, check your motherboard manual (or check their website) to see what the max CPU is that can be installed. You might check the website for a BIOS flash so you might be able to upgrade to an even faster CPU.
I'm sorry, but I believe Bob to be inaccurate in his assessment that the operating system (Mandrake 9) will need to be reinstalled. Windows can be flaky like that, but Linux is not. If you added a CPU in a dual CPU environment, you may need to recompile the kernel if you'd like SMP support, but that's another story.
Good luck.
